Career Summary
Mr. Cushing has specialized in the disposition of retail investment properties since joining Grubb & Ellis in 1982. His expertise lies in exclusive seller representation and has earned him numerous Company and industry awards, including Top Producer for the Houston office for 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008, and Top Ten Producer nine of the last eleven years. George has sold more than 8 million square feet of retail investment properties since 2000. In 2004, he completed a record 17 shopping center sales, earning the highest commission revenue received in the history of the Houston Grubb & Ellis office. In 2006, he completed 13 transactions totaling more than $300 million.
George is a member of Grubb & Ellis’ President’s Council, the Company's premier symbol of achievement bestowed on a select group of professionals who have consistently demonstrated a commitment to service excellence, teamwork and the advancement of the Company and the real estate industry. George's national ranking within the Grubb & Ellis organization with approximately 1,000 brokers was 6th in 2003 and 2004 and 5th in 2006. George has been a recipient of the Houston Business Journal Heavy Hitters MVP Award for three consecutive years, one of ten honorees citywide selected annually for this distinction.
